Buckle

It seems like Brooke surprises us on a daily basis with something new she has learned. Yesterday we were driving to church and Ryan was driving and hadn't buckled his seat belt yet. (We hadn't traveled very far because our van will beep continuously until you buckle your seat belt.) Brooke was of course sitting in her seat and said "Daddy, buckle!" So Ryan and I looked at each other and laughed and Ryan buckled his seat belt. We were surprised because we have never made a big deal or even mentioned that we need to buckle our seat belt every time we get in the car. It was obviously something she just noticed that we do every time and she quickly pointed it out to her daddy that he hadn't done it! It makes me very nervous that she is obviously observing everything around her so it's just a reminder to be very careful of our actions and words because there is a little sponge around us that is absorbing everything.
